Last night I had a blast at Corliss High School’s Fundraiser.  The DJ played house music, and I got my groove on!  I was in house music heaven.  Ok, almost.  He didn’t play Devotion by Ten City.  No house music scene is ever complete for me without Devotion.  He lost a few cool points with that.

At first, I wasn’t going to go on the dance floor.  Then after a few favorite tunes and self talk, I just got up and started doing my thang.  I didn’t care who was looking and what they had to say.  I went out there by myself and had a good ol’ time.

I started having other thoughts while I was on the dance floor: If I cared about what other people thought of me, I would never do anything.  Maybe I should think of everything I do in the form of “dance”.  Just step out, do my thang, and don’t care as long as I’m having a good time.  Hmmmm. Not a bad idea.
