I told a couple people that I was fasting and their responses were, “I need to fast so I can lose weight” and “You look fine.”
All I have to say to both of these people: Fasting is NOT a diet plan!
Yes, you do lose weight when you fast but the purpose is to put your requests before God. There may also be some spiritual and physical cleansing, which is great. But, do not fast for a weight loss plan.
