I went to a professional association meeting last night and saw a leader of another local organization. She told said, “Sometimes you have to work for free…” I so sick of hearing that shit, I don’t know what to do. When I met the leader of that association, he said the same thing. I told him to call me when he’s ready.

I do write for free for certain publications and blogs to help them and to get my name out. And I’ve worked for free for the past 2 years to prove myself an entrepreneur, journalist and blogger.

I told the young lady that although some situations dictate free labor, my mortgage says otherwise. I’m sure that everyone who suggests that I work for free has a job to pay their monthly expenses. And I’m sure they get paid for everything they do. Well, my business is how I pay my bills. I can’t call my mortgage company and say that I had a free project that I would like to use to pay my mortgage.

Long story short, I’m going to have to get in front of a different audience. This is ridiculous and very unnerving at this point.

Gossips annoy me. I’m around two and although they are very dear to me, they suck! My female friend is a successful business owner and is about to get engaged; yet, she has time to talk about other people’s business? Are you kidding me??

And the other person is a dude. I was trying to talk business with this guy and he can only hark on the negatives of the people we NEED to make a project possible. He talk so much shit that he misses stuff. I told him something and I know he wasn’t listening. He came back a couple months later asking me to refresh his memory. I didn’t. Because if he was listening, he would have known.

I said all of that to say: Shut the hell up and get a life!

I don’t like people touching my stuff. I used to think I suffered from the only child syndrome of “this is mine, don’t touch it.” I now know that I feel the way I do because are just inconsiderate.  Some are just selfish and self-centered.  Ugh! And, people would NEVER take care of your stuff like you do. Even with the best of intentions.

Just wanted to get this off my chest.

I contacted someone I know personally on my mailing list to ask them to connect me with the family of a deceased radio personality because they had something I wanted to posted on my blog. We’ll call her Jane. I asked Jane because she said that she had a close relationship with him.

When I sent the message asking for the connection, Jane asked me what was I seeking. I didn’t have a problem telling her because it was not a big deal. I didn’t have to tell her anything but I thought it may make things easier.

I didn’t hear back from her so I asked her if she was going to help. Jane told me she was going to ask the wife about my request. Cool. I gave Jane my number to pass on in the event the Mrs. would help me.

Why did I get yet another message from Jane asking me about the content of my blog? Are you freaking kidding me? She acknowledged that she didn’t read my blogs, which is fine, but why am I still hearing from you? That was sooooooooooooooooooo annoying.

I told her that if she wanted to help me to pass my number on. Otherwise, thanks. That was just too much for something that had absolutely nothing to do with her. I’m nice but I’m not patient when it comes to dumb shit. That was utterly annoying for two reasons: 1) going back and forth via email gets old after the second round and 2) this has absolutely nothing to do with you. Yes, I came to you for a connection. Either you were going to make it or not. After I gave her my number, she should have not been involved.

I just wanted to share my annoyance. It’s highly unlikely Jane will read this since she doesn’t read my blogs anyway.

I have a friend who sent over 200 pictures from her party.  Ok, I love her but I don’t know most of those people and outside of the photos with my snapshots, I really don’t care.

My friend SMS’d a job posting to me to post on Go Shorty.  He then told me to send his resume before forwarding it to others.  First of all, I am not your personal assistant.  Secondly, why would you want me to forward it to potential more qualified competitors?

I called another friend to just shoot the breeze on last week.  He did not response.  Why did he blow up my phone on Saturday because he needed something? That’s why I’m seriously considering becoming a hermit.  I try to reach out “just because” and other people reach out when they want something.

I’m OK now.  Really.  I just had to get that offa my chest because it was bugging the hell outta me.

Yesterday I sent an Update from Marcie to let my people know what I’m doing and some of the needs I have for my business journey.  As you know, a closed mouth doesn’t get fed and I’m ready to eat!!!  Anyway, someone wished me well on my progress and then sent me information about her organization.  While I don’t mind helping others, this person NEVER helps me.  This person wanted information the last time I sent the update.

I have three options:

1. Be kind anyway.
2. Remove the person from my list.
3. Ignore her.

What do you think I should do?

I told a couple people that I was fasting and their responses were, “I need to fast so I can lose weight” and “You look fine.”

All I have to say to both of these people: Fasting is NOT a diet plan!

Yes, you do lose weight when you fast but the purpose is to put your requests before God.  There may also be some spiritual and physical cleansing, which is great.  But, do not fast for a weight loss plan.

I hear a lot of people complaining about things amongst their peers.  This is OK, if it’s just an observation, and you move on.  However, if there is something festering, and you feel something more needs to be done, do it!

Generally speaking, the issue you’re discussing is the one you’re most passionate about. It doesn’t do anyone any good if you’re just flapping your gums and not getting anything done.  So, just shut and do something or just shut your trap.

I’m trying to be a nice person.  I’m trying to be the bigger person.  But, my neighbors to the north are fucking pissing me off.  First of all, it is two years later and we are still in court for the tree that was destroying my property.

Now, I  come home tonight and my basement window is broken.  My mother said she heard my neighbor’s kids on the side of the house, but didn’t go out to check. She can’t prove that it was them; however, due to the nature of our “neighborly” relationship, I wouldn’t put anything past them.  My neighbors kids are NOT little boys.  The youngest one  is either 12 or 13, so they know better.  Well, the second to youngest one.  The young lady had a baby last year.

I hope my property does not continue to be destroyed.  I hope not to have a horrible relationship with my neighbor.  All I’m saying is that I do not bother them, and they better leave me the fuck alone.  That’s all I’m saying.

I hate when AT&T asks me if I want to add more services to my already high ass phone bill.  That’s ridiculous.  The phone plan is $30 plus and the internet service is $20 or something. After taxes and other unidentifiable fees, my bill is over $70 and the only service I really use is the internet.

Sprint keeps telling me I can add more phones to my plan.  WTF? I already pay $129.99 for two phones on an unlimited plan.  And, who would I want to add?  Yesterday, the young lady asked me if I wanted to add more family members.  That was funny.  Most people I know don’t pay their bills on time.  One friend determines who gets paid each pay period by who she pulls out of her hat.  Too funny.

And, I feel utility companies are pimps just like insurance companies just like government officials.  They just take more money for everything as paychecks and incomes get smaller or remain stable.
