Oh my goodness! We listened to V103 and I promise I heard most of the songs at least three times. I probably heard them more, but I know I paid attention at least three times. It was overkill. Actually, everything is overkill with the holidays. Christmas items were in stores in September; toys were on sale in October; Christmas carols began in October….it was too much.

AND, Target was putting their Valentine’s items out on Wednesday. Again I say OVERKILL.

Getting back to the original point, I hope today was the last day for Christmas carols.

Last night I had a blast at Corliss High School’s Fundraiser. The DJ played house music, and I got my groove on! I was in house music heaven. Ok, almost. He didn’t play Devotion by Ten City. No house music scene is ever complete for me without Devotion. He lost a few cool points with that.

At first, I wasn’t going to go on the dance floor. Then after a few favorite tunes and self talk, I just got up and started doing my thang. I didn’t care who was looking and what they had to say. I went out there by myself and had a good ol’ time.

I started having other thoughts while I was on the dance floor: If I cared about what other people thought of me, I would never do anything. Maybe I should think of everything I do in the form of “dance”. Just step out, do my thang, and don’t care as long as I’m having a good time. Hmmmm. Not a bad idea.

I am going to interview him for my blog, As NOT Seen on TV, by June 2010. He is still a sexy thang to me. I don’t care if I’m not his type. He’s still eye candy to me.

Why I am thinking about George Michael at 1:00 a.m. when I should working on this project? Priorities!

I Am NOT a Real Househead

We went to a club last night where Boolu Master was doin’ his thang. As usual, he was on point, but he was spinning deep house music. That is not my favorite music. Last night, however, I realized that I just don’t like it.

And, I became overly annoyed because a couple of the songs didn’t have words. Normally instrumentals are preferred over lyrics – not with deep house music.

There is always a possibility that I’m just getting old. Not in this case. It’s the deep house music.

Does not liking deep house music mean I’m not a real househead? If so, remove me from the list because I’m not trying to hear it.
